第１４回北前船寄港地フォーラムＩＮ秋田・土崎 The 14th Kitamaebune Port of Call Forum in Akita・Tuchizaki

４月の１８・１９日の２日間「第１４回北前船寄港地フォーラムＩＮ秋田・土崎」
が秋田市で開催されました。

“The 14th Kitamaebune Port of Call Forum in Akita・Tuchizaki”
was held in Akita City for two days from April 18 to 19.

これは江戸、明治時代に物流の手段として利用された

北前船の寄港地の活性化を考えるフォーラムです。

This is a forum that consider activating the port of call Kitamaebune that has been used as a means of distribution in Meiji and Edo period.

私は１８日の夜の歓迎レセプションと１９日の午前のフォーラムに参加しました。

I participated in the welcome reception in the evening on the 18 and the forum in the morning on the 19.

２日目のフォーラムでは、県内の５つの大学と大分県の立命館アジア太平洋大学の学生によるパネルディスカッションが催されました。彼らは、ＳＮＳサイトを用いて秋田をもっとＰＲしたり、交通の便を改善させたり、駅周辺の外国語表記を増やすことが必要なのではないか、などといった観光支援策について様々な意見を述べていました。

The forum on the second day was a panel discussion about tourism promotion by students of Ritsumeikan　Asia Pacific University of Oita and five Universities in Akita prefecture.

They had various opinions about tourist support measures such as to increase advertising of Akita using SNS sites, improve transportation or increase the foreign language signs around the station for those outside the prefecture and overseas.
