The festivals of Kakunodate (Kakunodate, Semboku City) 角館のお祭り!（仙北市角館町）

角館のやま行事は神明社と薬師堂のお祭りで、毎年９月の７，８，９の３日間行われます。
The festival of Kakunodate is the festival of the Shimei and Yakushido shrines. 

若衆は「おいさーおいさー」というかけ声をしながらお囃子とともに山車を曳き回します。

It is held annually from September 7–9. People carry a float through the streets while crying “Oisa! Oisa!” to ohayashi (traditional Japanese music). 

山車の上では着物を着たおどりっこがお囃子に合わせて手踊りを披露します。

On the float, odorikko (dancing girls) wearing kimono dance the Teodori traditional dance in time with the ohayashi music. 


このお祭りの見所はなんといっても「やまぶっつけ」です。とても迫力があります。
Yamabuttsuke is the most interesting part of the festival. It is very exciting. 

華やかな手踊り、若衆のかけ声、丁内に響き渡るお囃子と笛の音…。活気あるお祭りの雰囲気を一度肌で感じてみてください(*^_^*)

Please experience with your senses the atmosphere of this festival’s gorgeous traditional dance, shouts of the people, the sound of the ohayashi and the whistle of the flute.
